About Us
East Town Association – is a nonprofit established in 1963, dedicated to promoting growth and vitality in Milwaukee’s East Town area. Located in downtown Milwaukee, we’re committed to making the East Town neighborhood a great place to live, work and play.
The geographic boundaries of the East Town community include the area of downtown Milwaukee east of the river from Clybourn Street on the south and Ogden Avenue on the north, extending to Lake Michigan on the East.
For over 60 years, we’ve hosted cherished free community events like Bastille Days,Storm the Bastille 5k Run/Walk, Jazz in the Park / Cathedral Square Market, and Wellness Weekends, creating opportunities for community connection, cultural celebration, and support for local businesses and individuals who make Milwaukee extraordinary.
This year alone we’ve provided:
- over 30 days of free community programming in downtown Milwaukee
- Support for over 300 local vendors and 100 musicians, including many group acts
- Economic benefits through tourism, business activity, and park revitalization
