Currently in its eighth season of residency at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, We Six features saxophonist Berkeley Fudge, trumpeter Jamie Breiwick, guitarist Paul Silbergleit, pianist Mark Davis, bassist Jeff Hamann, and drummer Dave Bayles. Since its inception, this group has delivered straight-ahead jazz in the tradition of the classic groups of the hard bop era, and has performed original compositions and arrangements. They have appeared in concert with jazz luminaries such as Charles McPherson, Slide Hampton and Brian Lynch and can be heard on their CD “Bird Say.”
